Sustainability
Responsible fashion, made in Portugal, for all women.
We believe that fashion should respect not only the women who wear it but also the planet. Our commitment to sustainability is a core part of our identity: we produce responsibly, choose safe materials, and reduce environmental impact at every stage of the process.
OEKO-TEX® Certified Materials
The safety and quality of our garments are top priorities. We use fabrics certified by OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, which ensure that:
- They contain no harmful substances to health;
- They comply with strict environmental standards;
- They are produced under responsible, controlled practices.
Local Production with Local Raw Materials
We produce mainly in Northern Portugal, working with local partners who preserve the textile expertise of our region. We use local raw materials whenever possible to reduce:
- Transport emissions;
- Logistical waste;
- Unnecessary import dependency.
Conscious and Efficient Production
Our production process is structured to minimize waste:
- Optimized cutting to reduce fabric scraps;
- Reuse of surplus whenever possible;
- Limited-edition collections to avoid overproduction;
- Partnering with factories that apply environmental best practices.
Inclusive Fashion with Responsibility
Sustainability also means inclusion. Ethically producing plus sizes requires specialized modeling, more fabric, and design that respects body diversity. We proudly embrace this challenge so that all women can access beautiful, comfortable, and conscious fashion.
Ongoing Commitment
Sustainability is a journey. We constantly:
- Review processes;
- Apply ecological solutions;
- Choose more responsible materials;
- Reduce our environmental footprint.
Continuous Improvement: The Path We're On
At TCO, we believe in transparency: perfect sustainability doesn't exist — but the will to improve does.
We acknowledge that not all of our fabrics yet meet the most sustainable compositions. Eco-friendly certified materials often come at significantly higher costs, especially for an inclusive brand offering a wide range of sizes and patterns.
Still, we are on the right path. That’s why:
- We’re gradually integrating more sustainable alternatives where quality and price allow;
- We review internal processes to reduce waste and optimize production;
- We reinforce partnerships with suppliers who share our values.
We know we are still far from our final goal, but we walk this path with awareness, responsibility, and a genuine desire to do better — for the planet, the community, and the real women who wear our brand.
