Teresa Cardoso Oliveira, brand founder (1964)

Our story began in Braga, in 1964, through the hands of Teresa Cardoso Oliveira. A determined woman, mother of eight children, who turned her sewing skills into something much greater: a mission to dress real women with comfort, elegance and confidence.

From knitting production to work uniforms, Boutique da Tereza quickly found its purpose in women’s fashion. The success of the first pieces, sold alongside uniforms at traditional fairs, was just the beginning of a journey driven by passion, quality and closeness to Portuguese women.

In the 1990s, we were pioneers in manufacturing plus-size clothing, anticipating a trend that the market would only value much later. Today, we continue to defend that fashion must adapt to bodies — not the other way around. We design garments from size S to GGG (7XL), with cuts that enhance the silhouette, respect curves, and reflect each season’s trends.

We have grown organically and sustainably, with physical stores in Braga, Ponte de Lima and Lisbon, while always keeping production in Portugal — ensuring quality, agility and pride in everything we do.
